Gan Izzy campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games and contests, which are part of the unique Gan Izzy experience. Combined with group discussions and educational programs, these events bring to life the beauty and values of our tradition.

Our Founder

Camp Gan Israel was founded a half a century ago by the Lubavitcher Rebbe. It was established with the vision to create a safe, nurturing environment in which children would be enveloped in a positive atmosphere infused with a Jewish spirit. Today, Gan Israel camps comprise the largest network of Jewish camps in the world. Each summer, more than 120,000 children attend branches throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia, Israel, South Africa, and Australia. This camp was established with the Rebbe’s inspiration and is guided by his revolutionary vision. We strive to give that unconditional love that the Rebbe showed to every Jew to every single child who walks into our camp.

Camp Gan Izzy has always had a special place in our hearts, as campers and staff members  in many chapters including in New York, Montreal Canada, Mexico, Florida, Denver & Australia I can say from my experiences in all these places that there is nothing that compares to the excitement that a camper gets from the Safe, Fun and Jewish environment that CGI creates. With the many Fun and exciting activities that are instructed by the one of a kind staff, campers always come home saying camp was a blast! Whether it is a sport, arts and crafts or a hike, the campers gain so much from the comradery and friendships that are created in this Safe environment, all while being imbued with an appreciation for their Jewish heritage and culture.  I invite you to see for yourself, by joining the CGI family today.

These three individuals form the core of our advisory committee, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to Camp Gan Izzy. With backgrounds in event planning, community engagement, youth empowerment, and leadership development, they collaborate closely to shape the camp’s curriculum, activities, and overall experience. Together, they ensure that Camp Gan Izzy remains a vibrant and inclusive community where every camper can thrive in a safe and enjoyable way.
